On behalf of the Union-Yacht-Club-Attersee and the Attersee-Starfleet, the organizing committee is glad to cordially invite you to the European Star Sailing Festival 2024!
The European Star Sailing Festival (ESSF) combines three regattas to one overall score for winning the Festival Trophy. Though, each regatta can be sailed separately.
Regattas:
- Star Pfingstregatta “Max Kastinger Memorial” Sailing May 18thto May 20th
- Star District 17 Championship (open) Sailing May 30thto June 2nd
- Star European Championship (open) Sailing June 5thto June 8th(June 9th reserve day)

To make your stay in Austria as pleasant as possible, we are very glad to offer you following benefits during the whole festival:
Free car and boat parking Leave your boats and cars at the assigned areas of Austrias largest yacht club for free during the whole festival! The space for motorhomes including sanitary facilities and electricity is limited. Please book your spot via email to the UYCAS office for only €20/night.
Free hauling and berthing Use the crane for free for your preparation and racing and leave your boat at assigned berths in the club`s harbor during the whole festival.
Free facilities Use the club`s sanitary facilities as well as water and electricity for your preparation. Please kindly accept, that charging of electric vehicles is not possible.
U30 Support To guarantee a minimum amount of U30 teams on the starting line, from March 1st to March 15th , ten start places will exclusively reserved for U30 teams! But for sure more than ten U30 Teams can enter! U30 sailors will receive up to 50% discount on entry fees until entry closing. Also 20 beds in the club are reserved for U30 Sailors at €20/night until entry closing! Book via email to the office!
Limited entries To keep the standards of racing, accommodation, and the social events high, the organizing committee decided to have limited entries of 80 boats for the European Championships.
Entry Open from March 1st 18:00hrs CET (UTC +1) As there will be a limited number of competing boats, the organizers decided to open the entries for all competitors at this date.
Organized Training If requested, the ESSF 2024 will offer the possibility to train and prepare for the District and Europeans on the weekend from May 25th to May 26th (Starts and short courses). Signing up until May 20th is mandatory, so we can organize properly. Feel free to bring your own coach.
Social Events The ESSF 2024 will offer a series of social events during the regattas to make the festival to an enjoyable event for all sailors and their companions.
Side Activities Enjoy a huge variety of activities in the holiday region Attersee – Attergau in the famous Austrian Salzkammergut (e.g.: 8 Golf Courses in the range of 40 min. by car) www.salzkammergut.at/en/activities/summer.html Visit also the near and beautiful city of Salzburg!
